ISS Payload Operations: Science in the Spotlight

November 2, 2017 at 7 pm at USSRC Education Training Facility
Mason Hall (COLSA), Systems Engineer, Huntsville Operations Support Center (HOSC), MSFC.

Marshall Space Flight Center has been supporting real-time ISS Payload Operations since 2001. As NASA completed construction of the station in 2011 and the program transitioned to focus on science, MSFC has become an integral part of the ISS mission and has distinguished itself for excellence in space operations. This talk will explore how and why the ISS program has changed over the years to support science and commercialization. Then, we'll look at some of the exciting changes planned for the space station as NASA prepares to equip the station for many more years of science through the year 2024 and beyond.
